Amagical spectacle, the hotel which was opened to the public in 2013, is the first property of General Hotel Management (GHM) in Switzerland. The hotel is located in the Urserental, the Swiss Alps and can be conveniently reached via three alpine passes coming from Milan and Zurich.
The signature style and design of the hotel was by Jean-Michel Gathy, chief designer at Denniston International Architects and Planners. Inspired by the chalets and past grand hotels of Switzerland, Jean-Michel Gathy incorporated the beauty of the locale into its building, design, materials and colours.
The hotel was designed with a fusion of Asian and Alpine features, and the coexistence of modern amenities with nature is eye catching. The ligneous exterior of the hotel gives a rather whimsical cabin-in-the-woods quality, welcoming you in, while inside the architectural marvel, varying textures and hues of wood complement the interior decor. The sleek, yet cosy quarters contain soft leather chairs and sofas alongside treen objects and painted murals, and a charming environment unfolds in front of you as you stroll along the corridors under the calming, balanced lighting.
The rooms vary amongst a series of deluxe rooms and suites; each with its own unique offerings. All the rooms hold within it, a plush king sized bed, fireplace, elegant decoratives, a balcony and sublime view of the surroundings. The luxurious suites exhibit extravagance like no other, with spacious rooms, vaulted wooded ceilings, natural stone bathrooms with heated floors and colossal windows showing a panoramic vista.
All rooms are further equipped with an iPad for the guests to use, whether for browsing the web or to control the lighting, firelight, temperature, and sound systems. Every guest room, suite and public space throughout the premise offers complimentary Wi-Fi.
